For quite some time now, Panasonic has been known for its reputation for manufacturing excellent small pocket cameras. The Lumix ZS3, the latest model to be released by Panasonic, is no different. This camera may actually be one of the most impressive models that the company has released. One of the reasons for this is the format that Panasonic has used, based on the Lumix TZ1. Options that are available on the camera include Face Detection and Face Recognition, making it possible for the camera to recognize and identify different people in photographs. Furthermore, the ZS3 also includes autofocus tracking within the face detection system as well.

There is also no semi-automatic or manual mode present on the Panasonic Lumix ZS3. The camera does have Intelligent Auto and Program modes; however, with a range of 28 different scene modes to choose from.

Consumers will definitely be pleased with the movie mode on the Panasonic ZS3. This mode makes it possible to capture HD video at a total of 60 frames per second using the AVDHD Lite capture mode. In addition, you can use the Motion JPEG at 30 frames per second.

A lithium-ion battery provides power for the Lumix ZS3. This is enough to provide about 300 shots using CIPA standards.

The Lumix ZS3 comes with a range of items out of the box, including a USB cable, battery charger, wrist strap, manual, A/V cable and manual. There is also a CD-ROM that features PhotoFunStudio. Consumers who are interested in additional accessories can purchase extra items that compliment the Lumix ZS3 as well.
