Matte Watch – Yearly Digital Photo Contests

The month of July, 2009 will bring something new to offer loyal fans of our digital photo creations. At this time, we will start up some weekly contests which will feed automatically into monthly and yearly competitions as the momentum builds. Our starting weekly contests will award the top three winners and give them a free ride to competition for winning monthly level prizes.

After the monthly contests catch hold, the top three winners from each month will be given chances to win some yearly photo contest prize levels. As we wait for participation to build, our focus will be on growing activity in our weekly and monthly level incentives. Some weeks and months will pass without enough participation, so during those times, there may be no winners to collect prizes on monthly or weekly levels. With the anticipated low entry volume levels, chances will improve for winning something for those who do participate in the weekly contests.

When the real competition gains momentum, entrants may still win multiple weekly and monthly prizes all year. More wins mean more opportunities to be entered in monthly and annual winning levels. At this time, we have a lot of information for people to digest regarding our lower level competitions, so we are going to wait to fill in the details of our annual structures, but they will be better than what we offer at the monthly winner level.

As contestant participation evolves, we presume there will be adjustments to our contest structure at various levels. Depending on what kind of entries we receive, there may be allowances put in place for considering various contestant skill levels to give all our participants chances to win. We will take steps to make sure the contests are fun and interesting as we move forward. We reserve the right to adjust our contest criteria to allow for disqualifying material that is inappropriate, off subject, improperly submitted, or other reasons that may arise from our on-going experiences. These contests are being created to recognize the work of our loyal fans, and to showcase our digital photo creations and techniques.
