Most of us, when looking at female celebrity pictures would see a standard spectrum of things ranging from the subject in the picture’s wardrobe to the latest gossip the said subject or celebrity has generated. Their relationships, lack or failure thereof as well as sexual orientation are fair game as well.

Oh the joys or maybe more importantly to us, the miseries of celebrity can be a truly addictive bit of news to follow. It seems strangely reassuring that we ordinary mortals have so much in common with these famous and known individuals and thus we can establish a strange kinship with them to help us cope with our own humdrum everyday life.

If they are known and remembered, then it is also possible for us to to be. One could say it is a bizarre sort of ‘God complex’ for the masses struggling to find purpose and meaning in their lives. A strange, superficial way to try fill the emptiness.

One can even think of it as the poor man’s form of psycho-analysis and this is his or rather her way of transferring a need or weakness onto the celebrity in any given picture and the story behind that particular picture or group of pictures. Thus he/she sees their weaknesses in the subject and in return can reverse transfer the strengths of the subject in the picture onto him/herself.

It can be a rather painful feeling if we are honest and see our weaknesses in the celebrity behold but not their strengths and good or great characteristics in ourselves. The sub-conscious is there to put all the things that don’t like about ourselves away to we can get on with our day to day survival.

However if we look deeply enough we see all these ugly things but if we claw our way deep enough we also see the opportunities these very weaknesses present if we are are brave enough to take them on and focus our mind and energy in right direction. In the end it’s all about right choices.

There are two paths each of us can follow in relation to the subject at hand. We can follow the lives of the celebrity in the pictures in anticipation of their downfall. ‘Show we common fame and I will show you nothing more false and foolish’ as F. Scott Fitzgerald said. This path is, of course the easy way out, the ‘house built on sand’ so to speak and thus will be of no use to us in the long run because of the total lack of effort but in to it from ourselves will derive us no benefit whatsoever.

The other path requires much more effort. It requires using the achievements and life of the celebrity in the picture as a personal challenge to recognise that you as a human being have your own talents and if you are to improve your life and fulfill your destiny you must find a way to bring these talents into your ‘reality’ in some sort of useful and productive way. This should be done not only for your own good as an individual but also for the good of the society that you live and exist in.
