I was talking to a couple recently and they are what I would call “natural lovers.” They simply know the way to love unpretentiously. They tease and laugh and joke and chat smoothly like they can go on doing it without end. It was uplifting. There was a solid admiration on my part for their surety to tie the knot before long.

But both of them come from humble backgrounds and both have the young optimism to make it on their own. Remarkable. Even in a very shoe string budget, I side with them that the bride deserves a good bridal photography, the way it is her ritual of passing from singleness to a union which will stand through time and forever.

This came from them, honestly. When a lot of people are leading them to reserve engaging with an expert photographer for the marriage day itself and just set aside the bridal photography to acquaintances and volunteers, they could not be won over. The beautiful couple said, they may not have an elaborate reception, but they positively aspire to put money into the pictures, together with bridal photography.

I could not think badly of them. I’d have decided exactly the same way. Bridal photography is a tender manifestation of the life a maiden lays before the palms of her chosen partner and companion. In my approach to bridal photography, all I ever require is a bride who has in her heart the confidence, the understanding, as well as the unchanging way towards marrying that one man.
